About us

We’re critically thinking Guyanese who are fed up with the racist and corrupt policies of certain political parties and politicians in Guyana. We strongly belief in inclusive policies where every Guyanese benefit from everything Guyana has to offer. There is not one person, one political party or one ethnic group who has more right than any other Guyanese.

It’s time that someone gather proof and evidence of the corruption having taken place and is still taking place in Guyana, while offering everyone who comes forward the security of anonymity and protection against persecution by the perpetrators of said crimes or law enforcement and judiciary who are all too willing to aid and abet those criminals. The reasons for this website are numerous.

Seen that our beloved Guyana is plagued by lots of corruption, especially when a particular political party is in power, there is need for an online repository which documents all these acts of corruption.

Unlike posts on social media, the reports on WhistleBlowerGuyana will not be chronologically replaced by newer posts and disappear from anyone’s timeline to be all but forgotten. All reports are here to stay and will be at all times easily accessible for everyone who wants to know what is really going on in Guyana.

Apart from corrupt acts being hidden from public scrutiny because reporters are afraid to lose their jobs or be thrown in jail as a result of the oppressive and repressive society some political parties create, some media houses are owned by friends and families of these corrupt political parties or even by party members themselves.

All these media houses do is spread propaganda instead of adhering to the basic principles of journalism and checks and balances. The tactics these corrupt media houses apply are numerous and easily recognized. They range from not reporting those corrupt practices to even deleting past news articles when scandals erupt. To attack genuine critique and critics they often use fallacies and ad hominem attacks to aid their feeble attempts to establish a veil to cover up their corruption.

But because we report these acts of corruption and make them easy accessible for the world to see, we offer the critically thinking users of our website via categories and tags a unique insight in the depth and width of the massive corruption in Guyana.

The people of Guyana and the entire world need to know the truth.

“Without strong watchdog institutions, impunity becomes the very foundation upon which systems of corruption are built. And if impunity is not demolished, all efforts to bring an end to corruption are in vain. “ — Rigoberta Menchú, Nobel Prize laureate, Global Corruption Report, 2001.

With the influx of large international investors who are subject to their local stringent anti-corruption laws from their own regulators and tax offices, there is need to expose the corruption in Guyana so that these investors can’t claim plausible deniability. These companies are obligated to do due diligence and they have their own legal responsibilities whether or not local Guyanese laws are on par with international standards. In the past courts in these international Western jurisdictions haven’t been lenient on these big companies who broke their local anti-corruption laws, nor have they refused universal jurisdictions for the simple fact that those corrupt practices occurred on foreign soil.

No one is above the law, not even big companies or politicians.

“People’s indifference is the best breeding ground for corruption to grow” — Delia Ferreira, chair of Transparency International, Clarín, 2018.
