Pressure mounts on Vice News to back off; corruption report could be out in days

The Jagdeo-Su scandal surrounding alleged corruption continues to gain momentum locally and internationally and shows no sign of letting up soon.

Journalist Isobel Yeung, the New-York based correspondent for Vice-News, who interviewed the Vice-President Bharrat Jagdeo, in a post late last night on Twitter, brushed aside any fear of the report being “killed” by persons and organizations working overtime in Guyana and overseas to secure their own corrupt interest in Guyana.

In the tweet, Isobel stated, “We seem to have hit a nerve with Guyana’s Vice President Jagdeo. Our report hasn’t even come out yet.” Since a recording of the now viral interview was put out earlier in the week, the Vice President and team have been scrambling to contain what has now turned into a major scandal.

Multiple credible sources told our publication that the Vice News’ report could be far more damaging and far reaching than initially thought.
